Year of Breaking out

Hi Alvin. It has been a while since I have talked to you. I am writing to you to encourage you and strengthen you in 2021. I hope the following words would be of comfort, challenge and help you grow in the year ahead. There are a few verses I would like to share with you and I pray they will be a source of strength and helpful reminder when you feel overwhelmed or lousy in the year,

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18

Hi I just felt this verse was for you as the church embark on the journey of having the unconditional love of Jesus. God revealed to me in 2020 was that when we understand fully the perfect love of God, we can truly do all things without fear. There are some that would say that we will still feel the fear but we are to continue. But I think God wants you to come to a place where there is no longer a basis of fear that will work in your heart. Because the word revealed that “There is no fear in Love” how can we say that there is fear in us while the Word says “perfect love casts out fear” ? Or is there a issue where we have not yet comprehend the perfect Love of God.

While I was conversing with God is this possible, another verse came to mind.

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39

We can see that Paul did not even fear death or powers when he discovered or understood the “unconditional” love of God. The love of god cannot be separated by anything we might fear such as death, life, powers etc. Yet many of us are still living in a mindset where we fear to do things or refuse to accept a situation although we have the unconditional love of God in us.

So what is the unconditional perfect love of God ? How can we become fearless and come to a place where we are so persuaded that in any situation we can perform and demonstrate the love of God ?

I do not have the full answer to that yet. But one thing I know, that when I mediated on having the unconditional love of God in 2018, God began to put me in situations where fears I didn’t know I had into the open.

God is working on your freedom, freedom in your thinking, your spirit , your heart. I believe 2021 will be a year of letting go of fears that have been trapping you from reaching your potential. I see God placing you in situations where you are uncomfortable but that is where you will find your breakthrough. There is a breakthrough coming. You are breaking out of that fear because the perfect love of God has cast it out of your life.
